Amazonite is a blue-green stone, a variety of Microcline which forms as tabular and prismatic crystals. It was first reported around the banks of the Amazon River in South America in 1816, but can be found in other places such as Colorado, Brazil, and India.
It was used in the construction of tombs and temples dating back to ancient Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamen as a symbol of hope and eternity.
